I have put together a list of all the things we found useful during our trip to Disney World earlier this month. Mason was 7 months and Camden was 2 and a half at the time of our 5...6? day trip. I looked up many blogs and pinterest accounts for ideas, but you have to remember some things that worked for us may not work for you or your children! Part two and three will be up later on. I will include more details on rides, restaurants and other things to do at Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney Springs and Hollywood Studios then.
Bottle time for Mason, getting it set up^

#1 The Perfect Stroller
A good, sturdy double stroller is IMPORTANT. We took our all-terrain Mountain Buggy Duet and it did pretty good. It does have the option to have the smaller child face towards you, or in a bassinet, but I didn't use that feature (sold separate.) It also reclines which is perfect when they are taking naps. I think the basket underneath was a life saver! I would often put my backpack in the basket along with blankets, water and baby carrier down there.

Jeff would wrap the lock around a tire and the frame of the stroller to keep it secure while we went on rides.

Disney also offers stroller rentals at their parks but the thought of my kids sitting where 1,000+ others have sat is gross to me. A lot of people also did rentals from private companies, which seemed to be the popular way to go. They also have selections of various strollers so you're not stuck with the standard Disney Park stroller.

Cup Holders & Stroller Hooks & FANS!
The  Mountain Buggy Duet comes with a bottle holder, but I went ahead and purchased a universal stroller cup holder as well. We used it for sippy cups and soft drinks.

The stroller hook was used for our reusable popcorn bucket, merchandise we bought at the park or to hold up Jeff's backpack which was significantly lighter than mine!

Even in February it was HOT. I last-minute packed some stroller fans for the boys and I am so glad I did! We used it most of the time we were there and people kept coming up and asking where we got them, or how they wished they had thought of that.

#2 Diaper Backpack
I picked up the Honest Backpack specifically for our trip after asking Amber Fillerup what she used for her babies during all their traveling. I loved this backpack! I couldn't even imagine carrying a traditional diaper bag AND a kid on every ride.

This bag comes with a changing pad, and what I thought was even cooler, was that it had a compartment for wipes, diapers, whatever. Ok so maybe your changing pads already do that but my previous ones did not. It has BIG comfortable straps great for long trips. The Honest Bag also has many compartments. Here is what I had in mine:

- Wipes & Diaper
- First Aid Kit
- Change of Clothes

I also bought a clear travel makeup bag to store tylenol (teething baby), Honest Sanitizer Spray (safe for kids), SUNSCREEN, bug spray, tylenol and advil (for adults).
Baby Banz!

My Joovy Formula Dispenser is my ride or die product. Would recommend 10/10. There are three slots so I did four scoops of formula each. My glass bottle was 8oz, and I also made that bottle prior to going to the parks so I would have an extra bottle feed. I went with glass because I didn't want the plastic to heat up and emit harmful chemicals into Mason's food.

Baby Banz are baby noise-canceling headphones. I always use these for fireworks when Fourth of July rolls around. At Disney World, we used these for fireworks, and the parades which got really loud.

Looking up Fast Passes lol

#3 Baby Carrier
For the rides that we did go on, I used an Ergo Baby Carrier. I got mine for a steal at Zulily ( about $50). This was also helpful when I wanted Mason to stretch after sitting in the stroller for long periods of time.

First, ALWAYS bring extra pair of clothes and shoes for adults on your trip. You never know when it will just randomly rain.

Obviously, bring water, LOTS OF WATER... unless you want to pay $3 for Dasani every 5 seconds. I don't even like Dasani.

BRING HATS FOR YOU AND THE KIDS!! No one likes a sunburn.

Hoodies and Blankets for night time! It gets cold FAST. Disney sells these cool character blankets that roll up into a stuffed animal when you are done. We have the Mickey one and it covered across the entire stroller.

Clean It!

Thursday, April 28, 2016

Learning Resources was kind enough to send Camden some new toys that are perfect for spring cleaning! He is at that stage where he follows me around and tries to copy everything I do. The New Sprouts Clean It! collection is THE PERFECT way to keep you child busy while you tackle daily chores. This particular set comes with a hand vacuum, duster, dustpan, spray bottle, sponge and a bottle of cleaner (his favorite is the vacuum because it rattles.)

I love the idea of having "mini" versions of household items. Kids get into EVERYTHING and cleaning items are not kid-friendly. New Sprouts also has other "minis" like fruits, waffles, and soups! Everything is bright, and affordable. I highly recommend these products for your little ones for endless fun! I have linked a few of my favorites below.

Also, be sure to check out Learning Resources on other social medias:

Cool Mom

Thursday, April 7, 2016
JACKET: Neiman Marcus Brand (also trending fringe, pop of color, classic) / TOP: Abercrombie (only $18!) / PANTS: Zella / SUNNIES: Karen Walker / SHOES: Vans / BAG: Burberry
Camden: SWEATER: Burberry / PANTS: 7 for All Mankind (love how stretchy these are!) / SHOES: Nike

I have been loving the warmer weather (finally!) because now we can go to the park! This time last year, Camden was too young to run around. This year I can't keep up with him. Of course I would never be caught in normal park attire, after all i'm not a regular mom, I am a cool mom. Name that movie.
I went with the lace up tank top that is trending for the season, paired with a soft leather jacket. Only pants that fit right now are yoga pants. I am at that awkward stage where people can't tell if I am pregnant or just never lost the weight from Camden.

Below, I included some of my favorite tops for the "lace up" trend. Who doesn't love Free People on sale?

DIY: Confetti Dipped Easter Eggs

Thursday, March 24, 2016

Hey guys! Today I wanted to share with you a super easy, and last minute easter egg tutorial before Sunday. It literally takes 30 minutes or less, using products you already have around the house!

Hardboiled Eggs
Egg Dye Kit
Modge Podge
Confetti (or chopped up metallic tissue)

Step One: Boil your eggs.
Step Two: Using an Egg Dye Kit, I used this one from Target, go ahead and dye all your eggs.
Step Three: Once the eggs have dried properly, you want to take one at a time and modge podge the bottom. I used an egg carton to hold my eggs steady as I did this.
Step Four: If you don't have confetti, just cut up small pieces of metallic tissue paper. Otherwise, take your egg and dip it into the confetti (I suggest a bowl for the confetti so it doesn't get messy.) Roll it around until you have the look you desire.
Step Five: Let dry and enjoy!

Happy Easter!

#NSale & Secrets of Nordstrom

Friday, July 10, 2015
It's that time of year again, where people go crazy over the Anniversary Sale at Nordy's. As some of you know, I had the privilege to work there for a year and blessed to work through two anniversary sales (they should have sarcasm be a different font.) The entire purpose of the Early Access is so that when you walk through Nordstrom you feel like the unpopular kid who can't go in the white tents. You see people walking in and out like it's Diddy's white party. It is Nordstrom's way of tricking you into getting a card with them. Nothing wrong with getting the card- just get the debit, because the credit has an average of a 21% interest rate. Anyways, let me break it down for you.
Worth the buy:Look for things that typically don't go on sale...ever. This will be your Tory Burch, Burberry, Hunter, Rebecca Minkoff, or the Nordstrom Exclusives. If you don't have to have it, wait a little longer, because by the time fall really comes around it will probably be at Nordstrom Rack. People who spend thousands (yes people I said thousands) on this sale are probably just stocking up for christmas, so when you see those people don't freak out!

Nordstrom Secrets:
1. If the item you want to buy is cheaper elsewhere, simply show them the website and they will price match the item and beat it by a dollar. Make sure it is the exact same thing (size and color.)
2. If you have coupons to other stores (like Macy's) and Nordstrom has the item, they will honor the coupon and price adjust accordingly.
3. Most time you can get out of paying expedite shipping if you are ordering in store and you throw a pity party (or if it is around the holidays.)
4. You can wear and tear any item you have bought from Nordstrom and return it at anytime. Yes, even it it has holes and is worn out. This is part of their no return policy.

If you are wondering why none of the sales people have ever told you about this, it is because they are on commission, which means they want to earn the most from your purchase. However, they will do anything you ask because customers come first, and a discounted sale is better than no sale at all.

Fourth of July Faves

Wednesday, June 17, 2015
Independence Day is right around the corner and I know i'm not the only one who needs a little inspiration for the festive holiday. I have put together some of my favorite items for July 4th that are also great pieces for your every day outfits too!

Into the Wild in JJCOLE STYLE

Thursday, May 14, 2015

On my husband's day off, we try to go out and explore the cities around us, so with the warmer weather that we have been having, we decided to take Camden to the zoo! It was his first time at the zoo, and what better place to go than the first zoo - the Philadelphia Zoo.

We did end up taking the stroller, but he spent most of the time in our favorite baby carrier by JJ Cole. It is called the Agility Stretch Wrap Carrier and it is so great for when you still want to look stylish. My son is too heavy for me to carry, and most carrier kill my shoulders, but this one doesn't! It is stretchy and soft and Camden stayed put unlike other carriers where he tries to wiggle out.

We also brought the JJ Cole Collections  Caprice Bag. The stylish bag comes with stroller straps and a padded shoulder strap (life saver!) I have a couple different diaper bags but this one has so many pockets, so it is perfect for any mama (or an overpacker like me.) It also matched our stroller color, which is a plus!

At the end of the day, we took time to take a break, because i've learned you have to with a little one or they will become moody. Instead of taking out blankets and worrying about them blowing away and getting dirty, I realized very quickly that the perfect solution was the outdoor blanket. It is very easy to set up. The outdoor blanket is also thicker than a blanket so grass doesn't stab you and concrete isn't so hard for your little one. When done, all you have to do is fold it and it becomes a cute little bag. It is a MUST HAVE for anyone with kids and basically for anyone who loves to be outside in general. Overall, it was a fun day at the zoo and it was made so easy because of the JJ Cole Collections products!
